Configure chat widget appearance and initial conversation behavior
Configure your chat widget's appearance and initial conversation behavior. Settings are available in the "Widget Integration" page tabs: "Content", "Style", "Embed", and "Preview".
Content
Configure the initial message displayed when opening the chat and the contact form feature.
Display Name
Enter the name displayed on the chat screen.
Welcome Message
Enter the first message displayed when the chat opens.
Example: "Hello, I'm your AI Concierge. Feel free to ask any questions!"
Input Placeholder
Set the placeholder text displayed in the message input field.
Suggested Questions
Configure question suggestions displayed when the chat starts (up to 5).
Example: "What time is check-in?"
Contact Form
Configure the feature that allows customers to send inquiries directly from the chat.
- Turn on "Enable Form" to accept inquiries directly from the chat widget
- The email destination uses the contact email address set in Agent Settings
Watermark Settings
Toggle the "Powered by NEWT Chat" display at the bottom of the chat widget with "Show Watermark".
Available on Suite plan and above.

Customize the chat widget's appearance.
Widget Appearance
- Header & Send Button Color: Set the color of the header and send button
Chat Bubble Settings
Customize the appearance of the chat bubble displayed on your website.
- Bubble Text: Text displayed next to the bubble icon (optional)
- Chat Bubble Background Color: Set the bubble's background color
- Chat Bubble Text Color: Set the bubble's text color
- Icon: Select the icon to display on the chat bubble (Message, Chat, Help)
Verifying Settings
After changing settings:
- Check the actual appearance on the "Test Run" page or "Preview" tab
- Use the share feature to verify with team members
- Once confirmed, embed on your website
