About NEWT Points

NEWT Points include "Regular Points" earned through bookings and "Limited Points" earned through campaigns.

How to Use

Earn NEWT Points

Earn up to 5% of your tour or hotel booking cost as points. Points are credited on the 7th of the month following your tour return date (or hotel checkout date).

You can check your pending points on the booking screen or in My Page.

Earn up to 5% of your travel cost based on status!

Example: Diamond status (5% back) on a ¥100,000 booking = 5,000 points earned

*Limited Points from campaigns are generally credited immediately upon participation.

Use NEWT Points

Use 1 point = ¥1 on your next booking.

Points expire at the end of the 12th month after accrual. Expiry is extended each time points are earned or used.

*NEWT Points operate on a 'booking deadline' basis. Points can be used even if the departure date falls after the expiry date, as long as you book within the validity period.

*If points used on a booking are returned due to a change or cancellation, any expired points will be forfeited.

About Limited Points

How to Earn

Earned by participating in irregular campaigns and similar promotions. Generally credited immediately.

Point Types and Eligible Uses

There are 3 types of Limited Points, each with different eligible booking types.

Can be used for both tour and hotel bookings.

Can only be used for tour bookings.

Can only be used for hotel bookings.

Usage Priority

Limited Points can be used together with Regular Points and are automatically used first.

If you hold multiple Limited Points, the ones with the earliest expiry are used first.

Expiry Extension

Using Limited Points extends the expiry of your Regular Points. Note: the Limited Points themselves are not extended.

FAQ

How are point rewards calculated?

[Overseas tours] Points are calculated based on the tour cost at your status earn rate. Taxes and fees are excluded. [Hotels] Points are calculated based on the room rate. Resort fees and other taxes are excluded.

Can points be used on costs other than the base travel price?

NEWT Points apply to the "total amount" shown in the NEWT app. [Overseas tours] Tour cost + taxes. [Hotels] Room rate only. Points cannot be used for costs incurred on-site (extra meals, activities, etc.).

Are points awarded for bookings other than tours and hotels?

Currently, NEWT Points are only awarded for tour and hotel bookings.

Can I apply points to an existing booking?

Points cannot be applied to an existing booking. Please cancel and rebook, or use them on your next trip.

Can I use points and a coupon together?

NEWT Points and coupons cannot be used together. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Can points be used on sale tours?

Yes, NEWT Points can be used on sale tour bookings. Sale tours also qualify for point accrual.

What happens to my points if I cancel a booking?

Points are not awarded for cancelled bookings. If you used points, they will be returned to your account as long as they have not expired. If the expiry has passed, they will be forfeited. If a cancellation fee applies, points will be applied to cover it.

What happens to my points if I close my account?

Points expire upon account closure. They will not be reinstated even if you re-register with the same phone number. Please be careful.

Where can I book a tour?

You can book through the NEWT app or website.

Can I book without a passport?

Many tours can be booked without a passport. You'll need to obtain your passport and enter your information in the app at least 21 days before departure. Some tours require passport information at the time of booking.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.

Can I make changes after booking?

Generally, changes cannot be made. Names and number of travelers cannot be changed, so please review your information carefully before booking. If a change is needed, you'll need to cancel and rebook. Rebooking cannot be guaranteed.

Can I cancel a booked tour?

Tours can be cancelled free of charge up to 31 days before departure (excluding peak periods). Please check the cancellation policy in the NEWT app for details. Some tours may be excluded — please check the tour details page. NEWT also offers a cancellation support service covering up to ¥100,000 per person. Separate conditions apply.

What's included in the sale tour price?

Airfare, fuel surcharges, and hotel costs are included. Taxes and PCR test fees are not included.

Which departure airports are eligible for sale tours?

This sale covers departures from Tokyo (Narita/Haneda), Kansai, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. If you live far from these airports, please make your own way there. NEWT can also arrange transportation to the applicable airports (additional charges apply).

Can I use coupons on sale tours?

No, coupons cannot be used on sale tours. Please use them on other bookings.
